Hubversity's cybersecurity career pathway. It puts assessment, guided training, mentorship and supervised practical work into one program, so that you finish with real work behind you rather than another certificate on a pile, plus formal employer-placement assistance at the end.

Students and graduates with roughly zero to three years of experience, including people switching across from another field into cybersecurity. You do not need to have picked a pathway before you start. The Assess and Guide stages exist partly to help settle that question.

The founding cohort is subsidised. We have not published the exact number yet, and registering your interest is free and commits you to nothing.

Pricing will be shared with the founding cohort before anything is asked of anyone, so you will see the number well before you have to decide.

Online. Sessions run over video and the course material sits on an online platform, so you can take the program from anywhere in Australia rather than needing to be in one city.

It runs in six stages. Assess, a personality and skills assessment to understand your strengths. Guide, support choosing a pathway inside cybersecurity, whether that's security operations, incident response, penetration testing, vulnerability management or the commercial side. Build, structured technical and workplace training. Prove, practical projects and scenarios. Progress, evidence you can put in front of an employer. Then Placement assistance: formal employer-placement support through Hubversity's network.

No, and anyone promising you one is not being straight with you.

What the program gives you is the part most graduates are missing: supervised, practical work, references from the people who supervised it, interview practice, and formal employer-placement assistance through our network, subject to your readiness and employer requirements at the time. The applying is still yours to do, but you go in with something to point at.

Not always. Several of the pathways inside cybersecurity, cybersecurity sales in particular, are less code-heavy than people assume, and the Assess and Guide stages are there to work out which ones suit you. If you are switching from another career, choose that option on the form and we will take it into account.

We will publish the weekly commitment alongside the confirmed cohort schedule, rather than guess at it now.

Practical work you can talk through in an interview, not just list on a certificate: scenarios from the Build and Prove stages, and evidence from the Progress stage that an employer can follow up on, which is exactly what an entry-level application usually lacks.

The founding cohort is being run for the Australian market, and the placement side of it depends on your right to work here. If you are outside Australia and interested anyway, register and tell us in the form's optional notes field, and we will keep you posted as things expand.
