Privacy notice.

What we collect when you register your interest, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

Draft for review. This describes what the registration form actually does today. One thing is still outstanding before it can go live: a lawyer's sign-off. Everything else is finished.

Who we are

Hubversity is operated by Hubversity Pty Ltd, ABN 56 701 399 715, based in Sydney, Australia. If you have a question about this notice or about information we hold, contact us at info@hubversity.com.

What we collect

At the moment Hubversity is pre-launch and the only thing on this site is a form for registering interest in EmployED, our cybersecurity career pathway. We are not selling anything and we are not taking payments, so we do not collect payment details of any kind.

When you register, we collect:

Your details are sent to us when you press Join us.

We do not currently ask for your right to work in Australia, your nationality, your visa status, your date of birth, or any identity documents, and you should not send them to us. If that changes for a later stage of the program, we will update this notice and ask separately.

Why we collect it

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Who else can see it

This site is hosted by Netlify, and your registration is stored in Netlify's form submissions dashboard, which only we can sign in to. Netlify can access what you submit in order to provide that service to us, and does not use it for anything else. Their privacy policy is at netlify.com/privacy.

Netlify is a United States company and operates infrastructure in multiple countries, so information may be processed outside Australia. If we later move to a different form or database provider, this section will be updated to name it.

Emails from us

Registering your interest means we will email you about Hubversity. Every email we send will identify us and will include a working unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect for all further marketing email from us. If you would rather be removed entirely, ask us and we will delete your registration.

How long we keep it

We keep registrations for 24 months from the date you register, or until the founding cohort and its follow-up communications are finished, whichever is later. We will delete your details sooner if you ask us to.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not currently use tracking cookies or analytics. If that changes, for example if we add a tool to measure how the site is used, we will describe it here and, where the law requires it, ask first.

Getting access, or correcting something

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@hubversity.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, contact us first at info@hubversity.com so we have a chance to fix it. If you are still unhappy, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this notice

If this notice changes in a way that affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell registrants by email rather than quietly updating this page.
